Affiliate Terms
ProsperMap's affiliate program is invitation-only. If we've granted you affiliate status, these are the rules of the road, written to be read, not skimmed past.
What you earn
You earn a commission (currently 25%) of what a person you referred actually pays for a ProsperMap course, after any discounts they use. You earn on every course purchase they make, not just the first. We may change the rate for future sales; commissions you've already earned keep the rate they were earned at.
What doesn't earn
Your own purchases never earn a commission, and neither do free enrollments or purchases fully covered by credit: if no money changed hands, there's no commission. Self-referrals don't work, by design.
The 45-day hold
Every purchase comes with our 30-day money-back guarantee, so commissions wait 45 days before they're ready to pay. This protects you too: it means money we send you is money that's truly settled.
Refunds
If a purchase is fully refunded, its commission is reversed. If we've already paid you for it, we'll settle up directly: we may deduct it from your next payout or ask for it back.
Payouts
Payouts go out about once a month, by the method you save on your referrals page (PayPal or Venmo work well). The minimum payout is $25. Smaller balances roll into the next month. Keep your payout details current; we can't send money we don't know where to send.
Taxes
You're an independent promoter, not an employee. Once your payouts reach $600 in a calendar year, U.S. law requires us to collect a Form W-9 from you before paying more, and we'll report your earnings on a 1099-NEC. Your taxes are your own.
Honest promotion
The FTC requires you to disclose that you earn a commission, everywhere you share your link: a simple line like “I earn a commission if you buy through my link” does it. Don't spam, don't make income or results promises we don't make ourselves, and don't run ads on the ProsperMap name.
Changes and endings
Either of us can end your participation at any time. If we end the program or your part in it, commissions you've already earned and that clear the 45-day hold will still be paid.
