Information we collect

When you create an account we store your email address, the scenario data you enter into the Coast FIRE tool (ages, income, savings rate, and similar figures), and anything else you save in the product: your saved tool and workbook entries, which lessons you have completed, and your quiz and exam results. If you buy a course, we keep a record of the purchase.

You can also give us your email address without an account, by entering it in the newsletter form in the site footer. We store it so we can send you those updates and nothing else. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to us, and we will stop.

We also use a few outside services to run the product and understand how it's used. PostHog records product analytics such as page views and in-product events; it creates a person profile only for signed-in members, tied to your account and your email address. Vercel Analytics reports aggregate site traffic. Sentry monitors for errors and is not configured to send personal data by default. Stripe processes payments; your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Supabase stores your account and course data and handles authentication. Resend sends transactional and course-related email, and delivery events such as bounces are recorded so we can tell if a message didn't arrive.

Your browser stores an authentication session cookie, your theme choice, small conveniences such as the last lesson you opened, and analytics identifiers. There's no in-product toggle to opt out of analytics today; you can block it with your browser's or a browser extension's privacy settings. You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us at info@prospermap.com.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the calculator, save your scenarios across sessions, deliver any courses you enroll in, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party ads against it.

Your rights

You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your saved scenarios and profile from our systems.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) and protected by row-level security so that only you can access your own scenarios. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
